Every year as a farmer there is nothing that excites me more than putting seed in the ground and watching it grow. We want to help in any way that we can so that you can have a successful season.
As of 2021 we have been growing certified seed for 30 years, with 5 years of select status and 7 years of processing. We are an accredited CFIA bulk storage and cleaning facility, with 3 graders and operators on staff as well as a SICA for importing. We clean wheat, barley, peas, oats and soybeans from Canada and the USA.

About Us
Walter and Terri Smith are 6th generation farmers, 2nd generation seed growers and 1st generation seed plant operators. After growing the first pedigreed seed crop on a ¼ section in 2010, Smith Family Seeds was formed in 2012.
